Grab A Pint At These Top-Rated Bend Breweries

Nikki Cleveland

At some point, Bend quietly decided that outdoor recreation alone wasn’t enough personality for one town and added an impressive beer scene on top of it. The result is a place where people finish hiking a mountain, floating a river, or biking through the forest and immediately reward themselves with an IPA.

For visitors, one of the best things about Bend’s brewery scene is that it doesn’t feel overly formal or intimidating. Nobody expects expert tasting notes or complicated beer knowledge. Most Bend breweries are filled with a mix of hikers, families, exhausted mountain bikers, people wearing sandals in questionable weather, and someone explaining hops with the confidence of a TED Talk speaker.

Whether you’re planning a full brewery weekend or just looking for a good post-adventure stop, these Bend breweries are worth adding to your radar.

Deschutes is one of the most iconic Bend breweries.

Deschutes Brewery

You can’t really write about Bend breweries without mentioning Deschutes.

It’s the brewery most people know before they ever arrive in town, and honestly, it still deserves the attention. The Bend pub location remains one of the city’s most iconic brewery stops, combining classic Northwest beer culture with hearty food, a comfortable atmosphere, and decades of brewing history behind it.

Even visitors who normally avoid “the famous place” usually admit it’s worth stopping in.

The pub works especially well after hiking, skiing, or wandering downtown all day because the food menu is genuinely solid and the beer selection covers nearly every style imaginable. Plus, ordering a Black Butte Porter in Bend itself feels a little like participating in Oregon tradition at this point.

10 Barrel Brewing

10 Barrel tends to attract the “let’s just stop somewhere casual” crowd before accidentally becoming the entire evening plan.

The westside location is especially popular thanks to its rooftop seating, lively atmosphere, and easy access to nearby shops and restaurants. It feels social without being overwhelming, which makes it a good option for groups where not everyone is equally committed to discussing hops like a wine sommelier.

The brewery is known for approachable beers, pizzas, and a generally fun atmosphere that works well for both locals and visitors.

Crux Fermentation Project

Located inside a former transmission shop, Crux has become one of the most popular Bend breweries thanks to its huge outdoor lawn, rotating food trucks, mountain views, and constantly changing beer selection. Summer evenings here feel especially chaotic in a good way: dogs everywhere, people sitting in the grass, live music drifting through the patio, and someone confidently explaining IPA flavor notes nearby whether you asked or not.

The beer lineup changes often, but Crux is especially known for experimental IPAs, seasonal releases, and approachable variety. Even people who “don’t really like beer that much” usually end up finding something they like here.

It’s also one of the best sunset spots in Bend when the weather cooperates.

Boneyard Pub

Boneyard has developed a loyal following in Bend thanks to bold, hop-forward beers that don’t try to play it safe. Their RPM IPA alone has become one of the most recognizable beers in Central Oregon, especially for visitors who love strong Northwest-style IPAs.

The pub itself has a relaxed industrial feel with solid food, a heated patio, and a lineup that leans heavily into bold flavors and strong beers. This is not the brewery people visit for “something light and refreshing after yoga.” This is more: “We climbed a mountain today. Hand me the strongest IPA available.”

Bend Brewing Company

If location matters to you, Bend Brewing Company is hard to beat. Located right along Mirror Pond downtown, this brewery has one of the best riverfront patios in Bend. People come here for the beer, but they stay because sitting next to the Deschutes River with a pint in hand suddenly makes every other responsibility feel dramatically less important.

The atmosphere here feels classic Bend—relaxed, walkable, outdoorsy without trying too hard. It’s an easy stop while exploring downtown shops, river trails, or nearby parks. BBC also works especially well for visitors who want a slower pace compared to some of the busier brewery scenes around town. The patio alone is worth visiting during warmer months.

Worthy Brewing Company

Worthy Brewing feels slightly different from many Bend breweries in a good way. The space is larger and more relaxed, with an expansive patio, solid food menu, and enough room to spread out without feeling packed into a crowded taproom.

Worthy is known for offering a wide variety of beers, from easy-drinking classics to more unique seasonal and experimental options, making it a great stop for groups with different tastes. Plus, the on-site Hopservatory makes it one of the most unique experiences in Bend. The observatory regularly offers free public night sky viewings, allowing visitors to explore planets, stars, and constellations through professional telescopes without needing reservations or prior experience.

Silver Moon Brewing

Silver Moon, Bend’s third oldest brewery, has a more local, laid-back feel compared to some of the area’s larger brewery spots. Known for live music, outdoor events, and a loyal local following, this is the kind of brewery where people settle in for the night instead of making one quick stop. The atmosphere leans casual and community-focused, especially during concerts and summer evenings.

For visitors wanting something that feels slightly less polished and a little more “actual Bend local hangout,” Silver Moon is worth adding to the list.

Stay at Pioneer Park Rentals
